Jain University Bangalore Highlights 2025
Formerly known as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC), Jain Deemed-to-be-University was established in 1990 and is ranked among the top universities in Bengaluru. It was granted the status of a ‘Deemed-to-be-University’ in 2009 and was awarded an ‘A’ grade by the NAAC in 2017. The university is recognised by the UGC and is a member of the AUAP and the AIU. The university has a total of seven campuses. Jain (Deemed-to-be University) ranked 99 by NIRF 2021.
The university provides undergraduate and postgraduation programmes under 25 departments. There are a total of 20 schools and research centres. The courses include BCom, BDes, BTech, BA, MA, BBA, MBA, BMS, BSc, and PhD. Moreover, Jain University also provide UG and PG distance education programmes and bachelor, master’s, and certification programmes to their students.

Jain University Bangalore (Deemed-to-be) is sprawling over an area of 300 acres and has various facilities for their students. These facilities include a library, Information Technology Services, Technology Enabled Classrooms, Seminar Hall, Auditorium, Multi-Cuisine Cafeteria, Sports facilities, Gym, and hostel facility for both boys and girls.
